5 Worth Reading English Books

Last year I tried to read the original book. Although it is advancing at a speed of one book per month, it is still fun to stick to it. Although not much, I recommend the following five books first.

1.The Sense of an Ending

If your best friend in middle school committed suicide, and he was fiery with your ex-girlfriend then, would you be interested in knowing the truth of the matter? This is an invitation from the Booker Award winner Barnes "The Sense of Ending". This was the first original book I read, and I couldn't let it go. Although I had a limited vocabulary and didn't want to look up words at the end of lazy cancer, this book's success was so successful that it aroused my curiosity. The desire for the mystery finally defeated the fear of the new words and was finished overnight. Many book lists recommend "Little Prince" as an English virgin, but I think it might as well give "Ultimate Feeling" a chance!

2.Norwegian Wood

In the past, Haruki Murakami had not caught a cold because he was too hot. Can such a hot writer meet the special needs of young people with cancer? But until I met the English translation. At first reading, it was amazing. Immediately turned black to pink, Murakami's fire was simply unreasonable. It was later learned that Haruki Murakami was heavily influenced by American literature, and that he wrote novels first in English and then in Japanese. Then English translation is perhaps the purest Haruki Murakami taste. "Nobody likes being alone I just hate to be disappointed." Does it feel better than Uncle Lin Shaohua's "Where would someone like to be lonely, but I don't like disappointment." A little less pretending and resentful?

3.Why I Write

George Orwell recommended this little book for two reasons. First, thin. A pocket book of 100 pages should not reach the trigger threshold for patients with thick book phobia. And they are all prose, suitable for reading in fragmented time, unlike the novel, it is difficult to put down. Second, the focus is on that Politics and the English Language, suitable for repeated reading, is an excellent introduction to English writing, hand-to-hand examples to teach you to distinguish between good and bad English.

4.Just Kids

Don't miss this book for rock lovers. Autobiography of Patti Smith. Newfry's literary youth fame, the touching friendship between her and Robert (was a lover comrade until Robert changed later), and a short story between her and her literary companion who became famous later. Real literary youths work and save money in bookstores and go to the New York Museum of Contemporary Art for an afternoon to watch their worshiped works. Patti herself has a passion for literature and her writing skills are very good. If you read the Chinese version, you will probably lose too many wonderful experiences.

5.The Defining Decade

Finally, let's have a bowl of chicken soup! In my twenties, I feel like a loser, no career, no love, no friends, full of perplexity and embarrassment, and the future is dark and dangerous. What should I do? It's okay, look at the experience of someone's 20 years old and the case of psychological counseling, you will know that you are definitely not alone. It's different from other chicken soup. American Chicken Soup does not tell you how to solve the problem, but reminds you to be honest with yourself at all times. Life is hard. It is not a good thing to experience more failures and setbacks in your twenties.
